front panels and accessories
ESF offers custom and VME front panels that can be easily customized to meet project specifications. Because ESF has total in-house capabilities, these customized panels are available at a comparably lower cost than industry standards without sacrificing turnaround time or delivery. Custom cut-outs, holes and extra hardware can be specified. ESF also offers a full range of finishes including painting, chemical finishing in clear or yellow iridite, zinc plating, anodizing, and silkscreening – all completed within strict environmental measures.
ESF offers ejector and panel knobs which are assembled to your front panel with support brackets for convenient PC board mounting. All knobs are molded of UL-approved flame-retardant Type 6/6 black nylon. They assure easy extraction of plug-in units and are assembled by ESF to standard or customized panels, ready for production use. All knobs include an anodized ID plate which can be custom-marked as required.
A variety of accessories for fastening front panels to VME packaging sub-racks are available from ESF. The 700 collar screw, M2.5 x 11 mm long, works in combination with ESF's 725 plastic retainer sleeve or 750 metal retainer sleeve. Manufactured of polished 302 stainless steel, this screw eliminates common thread stripping problems. The 725 plastic sleeve, made of flame retardant tan ABS (UL 94V-0), snaps into pre-punched holes in the front panel and captivates the 700 collar screw. The 750 metal sleeve, with nickel-plated finish, is pressed into pre-punched holes in the panel for positive grounding to the chassis and captivates the 700 screw. |
