Electro-Space Fabricators, Inc. was founded in 1962.  At that time, the International Space Race to put a man on the moon was in full swing and electronics were vital to that mission.  That same year, Bill Straccia and his partner Brooke Gernert, purchased an old bowling alley in Topton, Pennsylvania – less than a mile from Electro-Space’s current 125,000 square foot facility.  The goal was to meet the needs of the electronics industry and the space program, and with that founding mission “Electro-Space” was born.

With an operation fully dedicated to fabricating the highest quality products from sheet metal, ESF quickly became a trusted supplier in the electronics and space industries, and branched into other sectors such as defense, medical and industrial products.

Continuing  the Tradition of Excellence

In 1972, ESF was granted a patent for the design of a “Printed Circuit Card Rack” and in 1986 for an “Antivibration Guide” used in mounting printed circuit cards in metal card racks.  With its industry-leading innovations, it didn’t take long for Electro-Space to become the premier card enclosure company in the entire United States.

In the 1980’s and 1990’s, as the internet infrastructure was being built, ESF played an integral role providing telecommunications equipment to AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Nortel Networks, Juniper Networks and other major providers.  During this time, ESF began to offer complete Value Added Electronic Assembly capabilities, shipping ready to use products domestically and overseas.

ESF’s rich history and tradition of excellence continues today as ESF is sought out by major OEM’s in multiple industries.  Staying true to its core values and innovative mindset ESF continues its dedication to making our customer’s ideas and products come alive.
